Sorry to be posting this so late, but it kinda slipped up on me. Tomorrow is the 3rd annual S x S shoot at OHP, in Sparta, GA. There will be a 100 bird sporting main event, and 50 bird sporting events for 20 ga. and .410. Lunch provided. Hope to see some of you there.

Stan,

Are you going to be there? It's a hike from Charlotte. I could make it by maybe 10ish? We could finally shoot together?

Joe Norcom
President Carolina Vintagers

PS Bring the chokes. jn
I will be there until about 2 or 3, Joe. I plan to arrive about 8:45, shoot the 12 ga. event, then the 20, and lastly the .410. However ....... if you can only shoot the 12 ga. I will rearrange that order so we can shoot it together.

Hope you can make it. I'll put those Briley S1s in the truck in case you do.

I manage a restaurant and it is one of our high school's graduation tomorrow which halts me from being able to come. Wish I could
Wish you could, too. But, work has to come first. I'Ve missed a lot of them because of planting or harvesting.

It was a good day. Not as good a turnout as past years, tho'. Twenty-one in the main 12 ga. event. Kinda disappointing for the promoters, not that they make anything on it. $75 for the 100 target main event, which covers a great lunch. too. Fried fish, hush puppies, french fries, cole slaw, cake and tea (sweet, o' course). Of that $75, $35 goes to the club to pay for the targets and lunch. The rest is returned to the shooters in winnings. None is kept by the promoters for anything.

There was a 20 ga. event of 50 birds, and a .410 event of 50 birds. Great targets, not "feel good cushy" stuff.. Some of you guys within driving distance should make plans to attend next year, if possible.

It was a fun day. Would have been nice to have a few more shooters. I hope more will make it next year.

Stan, always a pleasure to get to shoot with you and enjoy your company. Nice shooting!
Thanks, Matt. Good to see you again.

Its good to heah you didn't have another tractor break down or similar.
It is so flattering that you would take time to keep up with my comings and goings so closely, OJ. But, on second tho't, I recall a post of yours from earlier, and I tend to believe you have a bone to pick with me and other Southerners.

One thing I'd like to know ...... are you a real shooter or just a keyboard complainer?

And just for the record, Tim Franklin was shooting a O/U and couldn't compete, but his scores somehow got thrown in with ours.

If I misread your intent I apologise. Maybe you've had a change of heart from your previous posts.

All my best, SRH
