New Member,First Post.
Looking for some in fo on a Fausti Stefano sxs I just picked up.Just curios about it ,I think it's 20ga. I know it has 28" barrels and it's 3" magnum. If anyone wants pics just let me know, not sure how to post them .
Welcome tlb,
First I must ask what you mean by
"I think it's 20ga".
You can search
here to see if you find your sxs, but first you have to know what you got.
Best,
Ernie
No marks on the gun give a gauge, its not 12ga. for sure and 16ga makes no 3" mag.
Tlb, you can email photos to the address in my profile and I'll post them for you.
Try to include markings on barrel flats and watertable.

Given that, it's a 20 ga. A sure test would be to stick a 20 ga. shell in the chamber and see if it fits.
pics on the way bankmil, i'll get some of the proof marks tonight. i believe the gun was made in 1986, imported by xcam
Hey TLB, MIKE Here ,Have you not tried putting a 20 ga shell in this yet to see if she fits?
not yet, dont own any 20ga's. i wiil buy some here soon. i was just curious about the gun itself.anyone have the same gun?
THANKS BANkMIL,I appreciate that.
I highly suspect that if you remove the barrels and look on the barrel flats (or take a photo of the markings you will find there) there will be gauge markings there along with several other bits of information such as Italian proof marks and coded year of manufacture. Post those photos and we can help even more.
15 8 CAM 76 KG1330 these are the markings i've written down, along with the date code AP in a sqaure box. i'll take pics for everybody to see.
Tlb, there is no "AP" Italian date code. For your reference:
AB-1992
AD-1994
AF-1996
Maybe it could be one of the above.
Ernie
Supposedly AP = 1986 as the manufacture/proof date.
You could contact Fausti directly about your gun. That was before they were importing guns to this country. Probably something someone picked up in Italy (or elsewhere in Europe) and brought back.
Tlb, sorry for the delay. Just got back from out of town.
Ernie
P.S.: I stand corrected on the date stamp; I have the incorrect Beretta table.
