Good day gentlemen:

A friend of mine wants to buy a Fabarm 12 ga 3" o/u shotgun named model "ALPHA" with non ejectors and 5 interchangable chokes.
The shotgun is practically new (less than 100 shots fired); I saw it at seems very solid; it have a "titanium" finish in the reciver and it is still very heavy to open and close. Also the asked price I think is fine (about US $1,500, but remember that here in Mexico sporting firearms in general are more expensive that in USA)
I asked for your advise about the brand and, if posible, the model.
The main use will be sporting clays but at a low rate of less than 3,000 shells per year.
What do you think; it is a good buy ar not?

As always thank you for all your responses.

Best,

Have no personal experience, but some clay shots I know say:
- trigger pull too sloppy;
- will last for maybe 30,000 shots;
- overall O.K. for a beginner.

Hello:

Perhaps the brand is not well known in USA.
Nobody outhere knows on first hand about this shotgun?

30K shots is a very small expected life for a double shotgun, isnĀ“t it?

I hope someone else can advise me about it.

Thank you.

Regards,

Fabarm was imported here by H&K, who told customers that the shotguns came with a lifetime warranty. The price was attractive, the guns were just okay and H&K stopped the import and the ''lifetime'' warranty went adios. The SxS guns have a history of breaking ejector legs and H&K said too bad.
