Can anyone give some infro on a double bbl side lock(with hammers) shotgun(Damascus bbl) Only markings is the name A ALLAN Glasglow.(bbls are 25 1/5 inches long and have not been shortened) Thanks

Arthur Allan, Est;1855 as a Gunmaker, Cutler,Ironmonger and Edge tool maker.
At 12 London Road, Glasgow till 1866,then moved to 3,West Nile Street,Glasgow, were they stayed untill about the time of the First World War. From thence they moved to 144, Irongate, Glasgow. The business ceased to trade in 1985.
Boothroyds Directory [1 st; ed;] page 17, shows a very nice Arthur Allan trade label.
