I acquired a WC Scott S-L crystal indicator, non ejector 12 gauge in an auction but it is missing the forearm. I've checked with some US sources but have not had any luck finding a replacement. Would anyone have a name for a possible source for a replacement?

serial number 41615 puts the year of manufacture as 1887. The gun is in excellent condition with no indication that anyone buggered anything inside but it's missing the entire forend. Ideally a complete forend would be great but the metal would be the more important and most difficult to fabricate. I'll try and post picture later this week if that would be more helpful.

The gun listed is in good condition and the price is firm. It is not a parts or study gun.
God, is everything on the internet a scam! I’ll post a few pics as soon as I figure out how to do it. Thanks to everyone who provided some information.

Hold up. I’m not sure Newton was saying that the GI gun was his…I took it as that the linked GI gun was similar to the gun he has. His gun is obviously clapped out and he’s been honest about that. He pm’d me about parting it out….seemed legit to me, albeit fairly complex logistically (to get to the gun).
If you contacted doublegun hq aka Russ Gould about the linked gun, your instincts are right. Run.

Newton 1131;

When I read your reference to the gun on GI I read that you were referring to a gun listed by others not you. It was quite clear to me and I think that myself and LeFusil are part of the majority of readers of the post who understood that you were referencing a gun similar to yours that was for sale by another individual.

To my mind ArtOC at a minimum owes you an apology written as a response; and I hope that your reference to suspect violent threats is not in actual what you have experienced but only your concern of what might happen since it appears that ArtOC has proposed that you might be a scammer. I can understand your concern as we live in a day of "road rage" mindset---even at Christmas time.

Further to my way of thinking you should stay on this site.

Kindest Regards
Stephen Howell
