Fudd has questions.

26-inchish tubes. That weird red-stained wood.

The shotgun bears a three-digit serial, 6xx, very early production; has what appears to be a Remington Model 32 trigger (round push-button barrel selector, not the sailboat-rudder selector the later Krieghoffs have, and definitely not a Miller trigger), and it locks up as tight as a... Well, there's no rattle nor glimmer of light when the thing's assembled.

I have detailed function-related questions for anyone who has hands-on experience with original Remington Model 32s or Pleistocene-era Krieghoff Model 32s. If you'd be so kind as to chime in, I'll be beholden.

I’ve owned a Remington 32 and a San Remo Grade Krieghoff 32. Both were trap guns. The Krieghoff 32 had the blood red stock that you allude to. The Remington 32 is older than the Krieghoff; it’s pre-war. They are very similar guns but the Krieghoff is not a copy of the Remington, particularly the internals.
The Krieghoff 32 is a very nice gun and not in the least inferior to the more modern K-80(which I also own at present).

I take empty hulls or snap caps and put a small piece of masking tape over the primers. That way you can see the hole in the primer in the barrel it is firing. smile

And bingo! That worked a treat! Top barrel is ejecting when I select top barrel and only get one click. Bottom barrel ejects when I select bottom and only pull once; both ejectors stand proud when I pull a second time with bottom selected.

Thank you, Mister Hillis.
