....and it will shortly be on its way to my house. It is a Jost & Diehl in 9.3 X ? by 16 bore. Raimey believes made in Ferlach. I want to take the opportunity to publicly thank him for his opinion, knowledge and assistance to me on this firearm.
This will be my first experience with a Cape gun and I would like to ask if anyone has worked with them and their experience. After I decided to acquire this firearm I dug through all my back issues of DGJ and learned that they were often regulated to shoot the rifle and the smoothbore with round ball or similarly short projectile to the same POA. Something I had completely overlooked during my previous reading of those articles. If this is chambered to 9.3 X 72R, which I hope, does anyone have any suggested starting loads that might regulate? And a source for brass. I haven't been able to find any.
I know there will be a clamoring for pictures, and I like them too, so here's a link to the auction.
