J.B.,
The service load 2 grams of Schultze powder and 27 grams of shot. 2 1/2-2 9/16" chambers. Left barrel choked, right barrel only choked if there is a crown W on the flat hidden by the shadow from the lugs. bore diameter ahead of the right chamber-16.99mm, left 16.81mm. View proof and of course proofed for shot( crown S). The service load is with nitro powder(crown N). The amount of constriction is not shown on guns of this age.

So would the schultze proof marks indicate
~ 31 grains of smokeless powder ?
~ 1 oz. of shot?
Any idea of the service pressure of this calculated load?

Would the " crown over N" proofs indicate a different service pressure proof?
( than the schultze powder stamp proof marks)

Thanks,
Best regards,
JBP

Probably need to drag Dr. Hause in on the service load as he is Mr. Schultze. Actually the load data is/was voluntary & warrants an additional charge of pfennig. The Crown over N pretty much denoted a "semi-smokeless" variant.
