A friend was asking me what area of value his Parker B Grade 16 ga. fell in. It has steel barrels , straight grip, double triggers, and a pad. It was purchased some decades ago from Chadick. The finishes are near 100% and may be non original , but well done. Quite a striking gun. I would appreciate any help the Board might be able to give.

Ejectors? L.o.p.? Drop? S.n. range? Barrel length? Chokes? Wood quality? Frame size?
All that adds into the final number. But just a w.a.g., if all the good boxes are checked in the above questions and it's a Del Grego redo, $10,000. All original finish, $15,000++ Rare gun for sure.

John, thanks. LOP 14 1/4", No. 1 frame, 30" ACME steel barrels, wood as you'd expect in a B Grade, I think, 158,000 range, 1 1/4" x 2 1/8" drops. Ejectors I don't have my bore gauge handy at the moment .

Daryl,

The gun was made around 1911-1912; you can get exact date at Parker. Your friend may want to get a letter on it (if available) from the PGCA. I think John's price range is right without pictures and knowing more. It would be nice to know if gun came with a pad from the factory or someone cut off the skeleton butt plate and added the pad.

Thats an earlier gun, which some like for the quality but does not have the later mechanical improvements. 30 barrels are a big plus. Desirable gun.

B Grade weighs 6# 8 oz and seems to have full and full chokes. It seems to match the spec's I see in the Parker Serialization book.

I'll bring the B Grade 16 ga. to Vegas this week, along with a few Lefevers. Come by my table in the Lefever section.

I'm not much good at valuing Parkers, Daryl, but I'll be stopping by to say hello.
