Ladies and Gentlemen....specifically those of you who are having difficulty using the private message function.

Please login to the BBS so you can see your welcome name in the upper right hand corner...once you see that go to my stuff...my messages...and then delete your dated and old private messages.

One of the issues I am seeing is that several of you who are having issues are at your limit of stored messages.

Also, the BBS requires a recent version of java as a browser adding to use the menus properly…normally java is included or automatically added to your browser when you hit a site that has java applets built in….those of you who have an older machine may need to update.

My java version is Java Plug-in 1.5.0_06 and I have no issue. Go here to see updates:

Please keep in mind I am working on fixing the problem...although it does not seem to be effecting everyone.

WOW sure lots of old ones, I thought I'd gotten rid of. However, There are several I'd like to save. Is that OKAY.!! jas

Saving them...a trick question... It is cool to leave some on the BBS...I would suggest you cut and paste the older ones into a word/text document and burn them to a CD then delete from the bbs.

I have deleted my private messages but still can not send or receive any. I was also able to receive direct e-mails with the old system. I do not see how to do that with this new system.???

Jim, I had some success a couple of weeks back sending a PM to member as test but not working now or recipient is incommunicado. Copy email address if provided into email service and send.

Jack, if you are referring to me about the messages we sent each other ,i just checked and i have received no new ones! Bobby

You have to add the receipent before you send pm and it should read, unread by receipent at bottom. Jack did you get the Huh PM i just sent? Bobby

OK. So you click on the person's name, type your PM, click add recipient and click submit? Doesn't work for me; just sits there and nothing happens.

I'm still not getting or sending PMs.

Any idea what the problem might be? I've only got 4 short PMs in the folder as I had to re-register because I couldn't get my password to work.
