Hi guys, as you know, I'm mad on Stephen Grant guns nay I love Grants and I was offered one that needed a bit of work. It has a few things wrong like a blacked forend and a little corrosion on the right sideplate However, it is otherwise indentical to my other Grant and Ive embarked on a composed pair project. Best of all it's a number 2 and mine is a number 1! The guns are only 200 apart serial number wise so its a nice close fit. I'm likely to have added a gold "1" to my Grants top lever and forend metalwork to sync them up. My original has longer barrels and of course has been re-stocked. Im going to tidy this one up and decide on the best way to sync up the finish. Also, and very cool, Matt my mate at the gunshop (they now own AGL too) pulled out a double case that just needs a nice clean up. Im afraid I got a bit gooey when I placed the guns in the case (don't quite fit yet). Im yet to find out the price for the case but if the vendor (its not Matts directly) wants too much I have a carcass in brilliant condition waiting to be restored. After the disappointment of the Clarke it made me smile again. Here they are;

It'd be one hell of a Christmas morning to come downstairs and tear off the wrapping paper to find that inside.

Very nice project.

You've got some parallax or something going on in your photos. Barrels appear to be bent.

You do not often see cast off built in to the barrels. Or is it cast on?

That is a good example of barrel distortion.
