Good day all, in your expert opinions what would you call the following chokes on these two guns I have? (It may settle a bet)

Yes they should be actually measured, but none the less.

My 16ga. 1959 ANTONIO zoli is marked (RT) kg 1,280 17.0 16.2 and (LFT) kg 1,280 17.0 16.0

My 16ga. new to me 1962 Laurona is marked (RT) kg 1270 16.4/17 and (LFT) kg 1270 15.9/17

@ 25yrds. my zoli right barrel puts 310 pellets (Kent upland 1oz, #7 1/2's) in a 20" dia. circle, with the majority of those in a 10" dia. circle. Not one pellet left the 30” dia. circle. (The Laurona right barrel patterned just like the zoli)

I went to a chart and it says fuller and stupid full.

Zoli ckokes?
Laurona ckokes?

Thanks,

Don

"they should be actually measured"

They were Don - bores for both left the factory (but may have been altered) 17mm or .669"
16g bore for British and U.S. guns usually .662-.665

Zoli
16.2 = .638 = .031" constriction = light full
16.0 = .630 = .039" = really full
Laurona
16.4 = .646 = .023" = improved modified
15.9 = .626 = .043" = crazy full

But what matters is the performance on paper or birds; either a 30" circle at 40 yds (25 yds for skeet) or the distance at which you anticipate shooting game (sea ducks at 50 yds or woodcock at 15 yds wink )

I believe it depends sometimes on the length of choke taper, explaining differences.
