From the view provided it doesn't look like an expensive gun but, the wood to metal fit is outstanding.

The breech balls are very distinctive and should point to a maker. I have not seen them before. Best, John

Am I correct that the breech balls are unique to Baltimore Arms? Best, John

I think those breechballs will be seen on Hollenbeck Gun Co. guns, and maybe Three Barrel Gun Co. guns, too.

Three Barrel Gun and Royal have the scallops but also have the characteristic Hollenbeck angle in the action shoulder. This one has a straight action back. Listed as "unmarked" 16 ga., restocked SG and believe it or not, Ripley, a skeleton buttplate.

Rabbit, I was answering John's question. But, I don't see any pictures of your gun from the side, so who knows what the action "shoulder" looks like ? It has a Baltimore rib.
I think you will see Royal Arms guns without that "Characteristic Hollenbeck angle in the action shoulder".

The ventral view of this gun shows trigger plate and thru lug very similar to Baltimore Arms configuration. No stamping on the trigger plate but I think Walt and Daryl have correctly identified it. Thanks. I was looking at Three-barrel and Royal but could not find pictures of baltimore Arms until today. Perhaps the rib is also a giveaway.
