Innocent- my big left one- The Japs in CA were just as much involved in sending info back to Tojo, as were the Japs in Hawaii and Pearl Harbor- the penalty for espionage in wartime in death- hanging, firing squads, electrocution, gets the job done and sends a strong message -Charlie-Lima--Look at the German plot to sabotage the big power generation station sub-terra in NYC in 1942--some died in Sing Sing prison, some got lesser sentences.
