Those people who spend time in the natural world are picking up on something that mankind as a whole begin to lose when he started setting himself apart from it.

I think there is a whole bunch of stuff, that is real as rain, that we will never understand or hope to understand. I suppose the important thing is to simply recognize it when it's happening.

I know that on more than one occasion, I have been out on a crisp morning sneaking up to a crossroad, and I got the feeling that something was nearby and as I slowly, with heart pounding anticipation, carefully peered around the edges of the brush expecting a big buck to materialize at any moment.....

that's when the covey of quail I was standing in decided to flush....
