Well I picked up my Lefever G today from the dealer it was sent to and unfortunately the barrel has a dent about 10.5 inches from the muzzel. I know I'll need to have a gunsmith look at it but I'm curious what you think I'm dealing with in terms of repairs. I bought the gun to shoot grouse (choked skeet and imp mod!) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

looks pretty straight forward. It should lift pretty well. I'm guessing a little will remain if you dont want to refinish the barrels, about 60$ in my shop usually.

Looks like a pretty sharp edged dent.

the sharp edges are why I said a little will likely remain without a barrel refinish, it should still be just fine.
