Thank you gentlemen for your comments.
I believe the consensus was that J.P. Sauer built the gun for Ed. Kettner. We do not know for sure the true circumstances.
What I like about this gun, (besides the steel barrels), is that the short hammers are below the line of sight when cocked and it felt like shooting a hammerless sxs.

Beautiful restoration and bless you for making the decision to have the work done!
For those of us who place great value ( emotionally ) on the skills and quality ethic of all those men that worked each piece by hand prior to the advent of our modern technology, it is a joy to see these artistic " tools" restored to their original grandeur.
