It seems that the newer charge bars With the silicone inserts do not fit into the older reloaders. Are there different sizes of charge bars even though they are stamped "302"?

Randy, I have a Mec 650 from the 70's and the newer charge bars with the rubber insert fit it. These are the 502 bars. I also have an older Mec 600 Jr. that the newer charge bars fit.
Where is yours not fitting, width or height?

The newer charge bars are too high. I thought about bending the body in order for the newer ones to fit, But I do not want to cause a powder leak around the grommet.

Can you see a difference if they're laid side by side ? I have new and old bars - the old bars won't take a powder bushing, and there is no difference. Is your new bar actually made by Mec or a after market bar ?

You can see the difference when they are compared side-by-side. All bars, both old and new are MEC. I believe that all of the bars will accept both old and new powder bushings

Randy, as Paul has stated the old Mec. bars did not have replaceable powder bushings.
