Putatively James Lang, but most likely trade sourced so some anonymous Birmingham craftsman. In any event, I am happy with the quality of workmanship and recognize that some servicing is in order at some point.

Other than by disassembly, are there any functional or visual clues to having a "dickie-bird" safety on a gun? Can you feel anything distinctive when you operate it?
Also, that doesn't appear to be a Scott spindle. Is that the Greener design?

Lloyd, it seems very smooth to operate compared to something like my old LC Smith. You may be able to feel the varying levels of resistance as the "dickie-bird" travels its path sort of like an eccentric cam lobe if I had to describe it.
I believe it is Greener lever work but I am no expert and would have to reference Haddoke's books at home to confirm.
