I'll take a stab. Since most folks are familiar with the discounts offered for the early orders that's what they base their value on. I think you often see folks posting them for sale as if they had paid the non-discounted price. That's a tough sell, if you actually did pay the full price you're really going to have trouble. Essentially folks are trying to sell a used gun for more than they sold for new with the discounts. Price it at 20 percent below the intro price and they will sell.
CSMC special offerings get their value from the intro pricing, you can't match their guns for those prices, once you're outside that window there's better guns to be had.
