The best thing about getting older is that it better than the alternative.

I learn something every day, and a lot of times it's that what I learned the day before was wrong

Funny thing about hiding guns in closets is I have done that and forgot about them. Before I built my gun safe room I would hide guns in odd places before I went on long trips. Alarm systems can be beat but some guns might be missed if hidden in odd places. I had a aunt hide money in her freezer and in a room full of old magazines. So I inherited my hiding from family. Sadly she just left the me the hiding, no money.

About a month ago I was poking around in a closet looking for something with my wife. Buried under tons of my wife's "stuff" were three Remington 3200's one of a thousands brand new in their boxes. I bought them and put them in the closet close to ten years ago. Completely forgotten they were there safe as a bug in a rug.

I went back and they were listed in my gun log book. Now I have others, that according to my gun log book, are hidden somewhere. Been trying to figure out where they are for more than a month. Found two but will not admit to anyone what remains to be found. One other was on loan to my late brother and today I found out his son has it. I guess as long as I care I don't have Alzheimer's and when I don't it wont matter.

The guys were looking through a pile of DVDs.
I asked "Any of those pictures of nekked women?"
They replied "What's an old geezer like you going to do with a picture of Necked women?"
"See if I can remember what I've forgotten"

Location of hidden guns isn't all you forget.

I knew I was old when:

I picked "Doc Martin" while "Eyes Wide Shut" was on.

it didn't irritate me when my shooting student Joe Wood would want to hunt just half of a day.

my wife hinted that my non-compliance with her wishes might affect my sex life and I didn't give really give a damn.

I noticed I felt pity for my 32 year old son because he was juggling social life, hobbies, career ambitions, work and love life. Watching him just makes me sad for him.

the only emotion I felt when my testosterone level had obviously dropped was relief.

I am glad to be here.
