The trade mark on the base is interesting, I once owned a single shot rifle with this mark on the receiver sides. Believe it is the trade mark for Hersteller Weihrauch in Zella-Mehlis

PhysDoc, the screw boss detail on the outboard side of the rings is very fine, wonderful craftsmanship involved. They will add to any fine rifle you choose to use it on.

One of these very early Jaeger sidemounts has appeared on ebay,
it is not mine and I don't know the seller.

but it is missing the base, if anyone here decides to buy the one off of ebay, I would be happy to share detailed photos and measurements from my base. It looks like it would require a lot less machining
to make a base for this mount then the later ones.
