How can I find out what the chamber pressure is for these loads? Are they safe to shoot in vintage English guns?

My gunsmith recommended them for use in my 1898 British gun- that had lengthened chambers and 2007 re-proof.

Not sure if this is what you need but in the "Other Useful Information" section of this very site, just at the very bottom of this exact page, you will find this......"Copy of Letter from Sherman Bell (DGJ Author) on Pressure values Winchester Feather Lites".

This is from the Hodgdon site, 26 gm load (0.917 ozs.) Load Type Gauge Shot Wt. Powder Primer Wad Powder Wt. (Gr.) Pressure Vel. (ft/s) Lead Shot 12 **26 gm. WAALite Win. 209 WAA12SL 12 5,600 PSI 980 Lead Shot 12 **26 gm. WAALite Win. 209 WAA12SL 13 6,800 PSI 1035 Lead Shot 12 **26 gm. WAALite Win. 209 WAA12SL 13.8 7,600 PSI 1090 Lead Shot 12 **26 gm. WAALite Win. 209 WAA12SL 14.8 8,800 PSI 114
The ones for the AA Lites go from 970 fps, 5900 psi to 1125 fps. to 10,800 psi depending on the components and grs, of AA Lite powder.
I tried this powder (AA Lite) and with some loads you can replicate the factory load of the Low Noise, Low Recoil as brother Drew has stated.
To add to this, the Winchester AA Lite powder using 12.1 grs. is the factory equivalent load and in my opinion is not good in cold weather, 30 degrees and lower.

I quit using the Winlites. Their quality varied greatly. Almost every box had bad loads. If you're looking for a nicely priced low-recoil load, consider the B&P Subsounds. 1100 fps. 7/8 or 1 oz.
At $82/case (free shipping I think), you can't beat 'em.

I agree with Adam. The case I had was inconsistent.

I have been told you should not shoot anything over 7000 PSI in English shotguns. But you see all the time in their magazines the loads they shoot are HOT. I know they don't always shhot their old English Bests but I would assume they do at times. What say you. Also the ones I was looking at were the ULTRA LIGHTS, I could not find the FEATHER LIGHTS advertised and do not know if they make them anymore. I am looking some light loads for my two English guns and would love the 8 1/2 shot option.
