For some time I have been having problems after I bring up the site for The Internet Gun Club. Problems included not being able to log in, screen display spreads way off the edges of the screen, and the Moderator not answering questions emailed to him about the problems. Last week, and a few weeks before the website will not come on the screen at all. This was a good website with a valuable data base. Does anyone know about the problems ?

I have been in contact with the Moderator who is having web designer issues. I know he is working very hard to sort it out and get back on line.
Please be patient, like this site, it is run because of a love of double guns, not to make money, so the guy has to still hold down a day job!

Joe,

Daryl and I have been in contact about. At this point the hosting server does not respond to a ping! So it is more than a designer issue. The "Moderator" has not responded to emails.

There is a wealth of information that has been assembled in the database there. Really would be a terrible thing to loose.

Joe, somehow I missed that subject by Pete. As of now, there is still no website. I do appreciate the Labor of Love , but do not appreciate the lack of answers to my emails and the fact that I paid for a membership and got nothing in return for most of the past several months. But, I'm still hoping the website gets back on line.

I too hope that this is not lost.
I have emailed the moderator and not received replies.
Googling revealed that the Internetgunclub.com was in receivership.
How you go bust with just a server to pay baffles me?
Let's hope I'm wrong.

If he is in receivership, that is a shame. The website has a very small traffic volume, estimated at around 10 users daily with 10 page views. As a comparison this site has an estimated 500+ users daily with 2800+ page views.

He is sitting on a potential resource with that database. It would not be difficult to convert it into book format. Actually, it would make more sense as his present business model is apparently not working. With all the images of labels included it would be a book worth owning.

Pete, I agree. It should be put into book form. Great resource.

Haven't been on it in years. I met Lowell Glenthorne aka "Thorny" on that site.

Hi all, I signed up for a membership and was not able to access the site. I e-mailed John and he told me about the problems with the server and that it would be up soon (that was a moth or so ago).

John did offer to research any questions I did have and e-mail me back. He did do this and provided quick and detailed answers. Nice guy BTW.

I hope things will change and they manage to get back on line soon.

All the best!

Greg
