Funny thing about this gun; the numbers match on barrels, water table, inside of trigger plate as viewed through the top of the action but the number on the guard is off by 100. I think the engraver had one too many at lunch time. i seriously doubt the guard is a replacement and just happened to be exactly 100 off. I could see maybe if the guard was a totally different number but more than likely he made the 2 a 3 by accident.!!!

A probable scenario but they do get mixed and matched (Flues tguard on an NID which didn't fit the inletting well). Flues guard is a startling bit of unaesthesia anyway; no "return" following the line of the rear trigger. But the wood is always good on the graded Flues doubles and the trap guns really are a poor man's decorative arts bargain imo. Here's the rear rib "ramp" on my 4e doublegun: jack

I think the wood on the flues 4E s is great looking. Does yours have any case coloring left? Mine has a lot of color left.

Mine's blushed her last blush and the poultry's replaced your dogs, billows of smoke the "chambered Nautilus", but still nice. Amazing what a bit of scratching can do to that slab of an action bar!

Same same Brian. Get the info on the order card before you do either--could be value enhancement for the dealer who has to luv em and leave em. On the other hand, we all need one to admire alongside the ones to shoot.
