A friend has a Giant Case folding hunter that he acquired in 1980's used. We are looking for some information on it. It is 11 1/4" closed, black plastic? handle with case on it. blade marked WR Case & SONS, Bradford PA.

If anyone has any info on it, it would very much be appreciated. Also appreciate info on an appropriate message board.

Case was purchased by Zippo lighters. Go to the zippo web site and see where to ask questions.
Zippo is one of the good companies left that still does waranty work on there products. They are very accesable and support the shooting sports.

No doubt a promotional item, used in advertising displays. I've seen large tobacco pipes made for the same use.

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.

If you ever get to north-central Pennsylvania, there is a Case/Zippo museum in Bradford, next to the plant that still makes the knives and lighters. I spent a very pleasant couple of hours there this summer. It's really information overload - I couldn't believe how many different knives and lighters the two companies had manufactured over the years.

The Zippo repair facility is in the back of the museum, visible through a glass window. Very cool.

Well worth the stop, if you are in the area.
