Came across a Western Arms .410 double that is missing the forend and iron. I've tried Numrich with no luck but where else would one look for this part(s)? Thanks for any suggestions!

If I remember correctly, Western Arms was a Western Auto house brand and made by Stevens or Savage. You might check under those names as well.

Western arms was made by Ithaca. Similar to a NITRO SPECIAL but with a cast rather than forged action.Nito forend may work??

Most at least of the Steven's made guns sold by Western Auto carried the Revelation name. Mark is correct that Western Arms was a name used by Ithaca. Frame was made of what is known as Malleable Iron. I believe this is cast but is different than ordinary cast iron.

A former co-worker had one of these in .410, but not sure about parts interchangeability with the Nitro Special. They are indeed very similar guns.

Look pretty much the same to me.

FWIW -- the receiver of the Western Arms Long Range was malleable iron while the receivers of the Lefever Nitro Special and the Ithaca doubles were forgings.

410 and 20 gauge are most likely same size frames. Bobby

The Weatern Arms Long range Gun was made and marketed by Ithaca as an economy version to the Lefever Nitro Special. Some posters above are confused with names like Western Field and others similar to it which were trade names used for other retail stores.
Stevens/Savage had nothing to do with the Western Arms guns that the OP asks about.

There are some minor differences in the actions and barrels that make interchangeability with Nitros difficult, but the forends are the same.

The forends are different between the different gauges. Or, at least 12g is different from the 16/20g irons. But i am not sure if the 410 is unique or not in regards to width at the frame. I have a few new old stock 16/20g irons. If someone can get me dimensions of a .410 iron at the rear, i can compare them to the 16/20 to see if they are maybe suitable for modification. I know the irons on the .410 are shorter, but i cannot verify if the lug locations are the same or not.

Either way, i do have a piece of semi-inletted forend wood for the .410 if you are able to locate an iron.

A picture of the fore end and barrel of my .410 Ithaca Lefever Nitro Special. Looks to measure about 1.321 inches across the width of the iron where it interfaces with the receiver.

Thanks for that info folks! I checked for parts for a LeFever and Ithaca double and it seems all forends/irons are out of stock. I do have an old 12g Ithaca here and will check its iron to see if there is any chance I could modify it. That is probably an easier part to find.
