I have some pitting inside the barrel of a hammerless lc smith double. I would like for a gunsmith to measure the wall thickness and see if the barrels should be polished or honed to remove the pitting. Also the locking lever needs to be adjusted. Preferably someone within the northwest. Any recommendations?

Cody Kearcher, Bend, Oregon. Anyone else "out west" will be more expensive.

Cody Kearcher . . . Maybe Keith's son? Is Keith still in business?

No, Keith retired and his son Cody now runs the business.

Buck Hamlin in Pevely MO. He is the best LC Smith "smith" anywhere, hands down-IMO!!

If Freddy Brunner in Escondido, Cali is still working....he'd be the Elsie man to send your gun to. He's quick and he's knows exactly what he's doing. I learned about Freddy from a guy named Walt Schissel back in the day. When I owned a Elsie and it went tits up, Freddy fixed it. The recommendation for Hamlin is sound, but get in line and prepare to wait.
