Howdy!
new member here, it was suggested i join this forum from someone at shotgunworld.com because I love shooting the old double guns
black powder with brass cases for the most part.
lately I have been trying to source out some 10 gauge and 14 gauge brass, but I cannot buy it directly from the U.S., and and cannot find anybody in Canada to import it.
However, if someone knew of a place in England, I have a friend who could buy it there and ship it over to me.
At the moment I am shooting Federal plastic and black powder in my Westley Richards 10, and it's just wrong!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Davide

I've been looking as well. It's unfortunate that Magtech doesn't import their 10ga brass. I've emailed them tonight asking if that is in the future.

I forgot to share that Track of the Wolf here in the US lists a new production 2 7/8"s brass shell, but the cost is almost $8 per shell! http://www.trackofthewolf.com/Categories/PartDetail.aspx/1210/1/SHOT-SHELL-10-2-78

I know what you mean. $8 each, plastic 10ga or 10-12ga gauge reducer. Where is Magtech when you need them????

I have a project going currently using the Magtech 16ga. I'm wrapping tape around the mouth and just in front of the rim. When fire formed it will form the case in the middle and still be concentric to the centerline of the case/bore. after the first fire form I will remove the tape and do it again. I read an article that described something similar and then talked to a friend who had done it this way. I'm going to try to shoot a turkey with my 14ga and season opens in a couple weeks, so i should have some results to report soon.

No source in England as far as I know. Magtech don't do them in 10 or 14 and for the life of me I can't see why not as they would sell well. Lagopus.....

The Track Of The Wolf hulls are well built and a dozen will last a lifetime. I did have to remove the raised Parker diamond from the base of the hull--it made the rim too thick to close the action.

Rocky Mountain Cartridge will build what you want and put your chosen logo on the case head.

I can't get that stuff across the border here.
it is illegal to bring it in privately, and cannot find a dealer.

I'm no expert on Canadian Rules, but I carry hunting ammo over the border every year. Are you sure unprimed cases are illegal ?
