Well I was surprised to actually find a really nice, unmodified 1898 Krag at the gunshow. Almost didn't go as they have been so disappointing the last few years. The barrel has the usual dark bore but is cleaning up to shootable. A previous owner had removed all the swivels. I was able to order the rear swivel and screws from Gunparts but the stacking and midband swivels are not available. Any suggestions where they might be available and I would appreciate any suggestions for a proper cast bullet mold.
Springfield arms are finely made finished. I'm impressed everytime I handle one of their rifles.
