The old saying if its to good to be true thats probably is. Holds here.
I had a friend call me this AM all excited about item #941453201 on Guns America. You can see its a model 21 pigeon grade that Winchester made 37 of total and in 28ga maybe 2. Any way the seller was contacted and was offered two options: 1) buyer will send wire the cash to a FFl dealer 2 miles from his home and he could collect it and leave the gun with the dealer. He turned that down. 2) There would be someone show up in about 3 hours with the cash and he could hand over the gun. He couldn"t do that either. The reasoning for both he had to be the one shipping it with overnight Fedex the next day after he had the money in hand!!! Lets see!!! a $ 46000 gunfor $4600gun smells funny and was funny beware. of Guns America item 941453201. Just a heads up. John Mc
Let me know if you know how to get to guns america about this or do they care.

I almost got scammed on Guns America once...on a high grade 21 which was too good to be true. I smelled a rat and sent GA an email and they pulled the guy right off their site. All in all, I think Guns America is a pretty good operation. You just have to be careful in this new internet world.

Some guy just had a new Krieghoff Essencia 28g listed for $4950. He pulled all the pics and info from Cabela's site.
GunsAmerica caught up with him and pulled the listing.

I have a rule of thumb when dealing with someone I don't know for any item involving substantial funds. I use a trusted 3rd party. I will send the funds to this party with the understanding that when the gun arrives he's free to release the funds to the seller. This works well and I've never been successfully scammed since I started using it. Jim
