Both. You might try removing the stop screw and turning the lever further, I've seen at least one of these that had been somehow loosened one full turn, giving a false impression of the barrel's fit.

The Word (from the Green Frog) has it that the recently-available 32RF ammo made somewhere South of here is dog doo-doo. Misfires, case splits, etc, caveat emptor.

Regards, Joe Joe, From the above should I assume the pin is tapered and the more it's turned in the tighter it gets? Must be tough to fit a new pin or barrel and get the taper correct. The barrel assembly on this moves a bit from side to side...

If you check Cartridges of the World spec page, you will see that a .32 long and a .32 S & W are identical...bore, rim etc...the .32 Smith is slightly larger in case diameter...run a chamber reamer to size for the .32 S & W, change the firing pin to central fire ....ammo available everywhere...or reload your own....I've done several like this...makes a sweet little gun with no ammo shortage....

I believe I was warned against that, the .32 S&W is a higher pressure round and the only thing that keeps this gun held together is a small pin that has 1/2 it's thickness milled away. And the receivers were softer on the RF's?
First things first, I have to solve the loose barrel problem.

Can anyone advise me on how to remove the takedown lever stop pin? It has no slot so it can't be turned out but the back of the pin is visible inside a hole from the inside of the receiver. Is it just a push fit?
