I know of a AH Fox C grade gun ,built without a safety,long barrels and the nicest wood I have ever seen on an American double. What am I thinking about? Possibly built for live bird competition in 1909.

to high a grade for mere fowler. does it have tight chokes, wide flat rib, correct stock dimensions and does it pattern pattern 60/40 or so?

The gun patterns very tight I havent taken a pattern test.The barrels are 30" and choked full and extra full. weighs 7#9oz.

Pretty hard to tell if a gun built in 1909 was for clay birds of live birds.

Hi Don,

Similar to a CE without a safety that I owned for a while back in the late 70's, early 80's. Nice gun as I remember. Never shot it tho.

It had 32" F and F barrels, SST, AE and straight stock with serial number 1855X. And no safety.

Trap guns and live bird guns have similar characteristics. Could be either and would make no real difference except to an individual.
