I was trying to get some information on a Brenneke rifle and tried to contact Dr. Mank who ran Brenneke until his death about 10 days ago. He was the great-grandson of Wilhelm Brenneke.

I met him over 20 years ago at one of the Las Vegas gunshows and he was very nice and informative.

This information about him is taken off the Brenneke site:

I was fortunate to know the good doctor in person.
A long time ago dr. Mank visited Slovenia to demonstrate his legendary Brenneke loads. I was invited to a high stand and he handed me his scoped, rifled 12g bolt action to fire at a targer 100 meters away. We were all pleasantly surprised when the fist shot hit the bullseye.
I am confident that the gentle dr. Peter Mank has a special place in the Happy Hunting Grounds.
