I am the owner of a wonderful fluid steel Daniel Fraser hammer gun in pigeon persuasion. It has a wide flat rib, heavy 30" barrels with tight chokes, 8 pounds total weight. I can find no mention of such a gun on the internet or in auction results. Do we know of any others? Lots of hammerless Frasers out there, but hammer guns, not a peep.
I see a few hammer guns in my Fraser book. I’ve owned a couple of his rifles for a long time so I bought the book for my reference library.
His production records are relatively complete. The ones I see are bar lock side action 16 ga.’s.
I apologize for not having "the book" at my disposal. The people who sold me the gun also have the book and I am working to get it.
It’s well worth the money. Packed with info… if you want to pm me the TPSN I can see if it’s listed.
Ironman, no secret information here. The Fraser pigeon gun is serial number 1483. The wide, flat, deeply file cut rib is 9/16" at the breech, 5/16" at the muzzle. The receiver is marked D&J Fraser, the barrels are marked McColl and Fraser. The proofs are 1 1/4 oz. 2 3/4" chambers. Total weight 8.03 pounds.
Serial number 1483 is not listed in the Fraser book (not a big surprise). The book was published in 2014.

Thanks for trying. Fortunately, the gun speaks for itself.
No pictures, no records ? How does the gun "speak for itself"?
