Would any of you gentlemen have a photo of a Boss O/U action with the stock removed, showing how the firing pin is retained? The marked area in the pic, only with parts in place. Thank you

There seems to be a screw recess in the shellhead cavity just behind the fences. Could that screw be the firing pin retainer?

Actually this seems like a very compelling suggestion. I've always assumed that the screw was a gas vent like the one Purdey SxS have in a more forward position, but your theory makes more sense smile

It's the bicentenary gun. This picture I believe is from the shop of the engraver. If you google Boss bicentenary Gun you'll see a few more photos.
