Guys:

Any one have any experience re this newish hearing protection/sound amplification in ear device from Sport Ear? Looking for something to use for early grouse season. Any reports good/bad welcome. THKS.
Haven't used those but did have a similar pair of custom-fit ones from a different maker.
I found that they were great at the range and had some limited usefulness in the field.
They were good if you were stationary and listening for any movement or maybe in a duck blind with someone else. If you are moving thru any dried leaves or brush they amplified your own local noise to a distracting level if turned up loud enough to detect little brown birds trying to sneak away.

FWIW, Your mileage may vary. wink
THANKS, Lee. Sport Ear does offer a two week trial period with these ear plugs, so I can try them out in the woods running the dogs plus on the tractor, mowing the grass, chain saws, etc and see how they work for me. Might prove useful for turkey or deer hunting as well.

NB
I used 3M Tactical earplugs last year and was very pleased. They amplify when needed and shut down at report, you never hear the shot. Excellent customer support also.
