There was an H and H in the recent Julia auction that did not sell. It was made in 1900, had 26 inch barrels and chokes of .001 and .002. With that early date and extremely open chokes, can it be assumed that the barrels were cut? I have not seen the gun personally. it was item 2381 in the catalog.

If it was listed, they would have included that the barrels were cut as their research on these types of things are what they are noted for.

I’d be more concerned as to why they show a Boss?... in the case, look at the last picture

No,a 26" barreled gun from 1900 is not unheard of.

Just a thought,. Could they have made a mistake when writing the choke measurements down ?
10 and 20 thou' possibly, would this then be quarter and half choke ?
