What can you guys tell me about

F.Faukner & Cie, Prague?

Thanks

Forgeron also supplied longarms to the Prague makers, specifically Frantisek Faukner, who expired in 1928 but his son Jan(also father's name - Jan Faukner of Pisek was the grandfather of Jan Faukner of Prague) continued in the business. Gustav Tichy & other bohemian makers passed thru his shop. Jan Faukner was born in 1895(September 10th) so I guess him to have been a master by the end of WWI. Frantisek Faukner moved from Kolin to Prague in 1909 and Jan continued the business till the nationalization in the late 1940s(1948?). Then Jan became a salesman in Jindriska at the Hubertus shop. He expired in 1972(August 7th). I typed all this to say that Frantisek Faukner's sister, Marie Fauknerova, married Antonin Machac in 1877. Adolf Machac was in Brno and I think head of the Lovely Lovena firm and/or a conglomerate of Bittner/Fukert/Morgenstern post WWII. There's an article or 2 by Mr. Felix Neuberger on Faukner in the DGG and from a previous post of his, much like the Sauer records, I was hoping he would tale the rest the story.

DGG?

Or did you mean DGJ?
One of the nicest double I have is a F. Faukner in Prague. I've sent two photos up to Michael Petrov to post for me. They were taken by Dave Wesbrook about 20 years ago. It is a 12 bore, light game gun.
Terry's Faukner.

Nice looking gun. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, Recoil, Double Gun Journal. Please overlook the misinformation/typo. I can post the refs to the articles if need be.

Felix Neuberger's(?) post:

http://www.doublegunshop.com/forums/ubbt...true#Post176893

"Re Lovena: I am the author of the Nowotny/Weipert/Faukner articles
in the DGJ. An article on Lovena is still on my "list-to-do".
The effort for this however is really big.
The last Lovena-workshop manager was still alive in 2009 (when my article on Faukner appeared /he is Faukner's grand-nephew), a
Machac was still alive in late 1990's),lot of the Lovena-stuff seen on this forum is of Belgian origin. I have the founding-document of the company ....
Seeing the keen interest and the info available could be motivation for me
to start with the compilation/collection of material"

The Belgians were heavily sourced and Jean Falla was a staple within:

Interesting stamp on a 1937 imported(non-Inland Production or non- tuzemsko) Czech peddled longarm by Adolf Machac with " Siemens-Martin Steel Falla Patent Brazing "
