Hello everyone.
Good day.
I used to hunt with my grand father's old shotgun.
Its an old double barrel.
I dont know what type, name, model or which country made of the gun.

Now my problem is, i lost it's safety slide lever behind the barrel's select lever while cleaning and oil as usual.
I wonder if any experts here can help identify what name and model is this so i can
buy replacement.
Thanks in advance,

Regards.
LAM

Post some pics of the watertable markings and barrel flat markings and someone here should be able to help ID the gun.

You will almost certainly need to have the part made & fitted by a qualified double-gun oriented gunsmith. Probably won't cost too much and he could check it out for any other issues while in the shop.

There is probably something stamped/engraved on the top rib &/or sides of the barrels which would give an indication of either the maker or retailer among other things. There may also be something in the sides of the action or on the trigger guard.

The stamps on the bottom of the barrel flats as well as inside the watertable (flat interior of action where barrels fit) will show proofmarks and likely other information that can help identify the maker, country of origin and possibly date of manufacture.

FWIW.

It is probably the piece that puts it on Automatic safet when the gun is opened. If so, you can get on without it.

The gun being an o/u does not have a proper water table.
Markings on the barrels will help.
I would venture it is Italian, maybe a Franchi. The engraving does not look too
shoddy. This is a total shot in the dark.

Should be no issue if we can determine the manufacturer and model.
As said, most likely the info will be on the barrels.
Also, what is on the butt/recoil pad of the gun, any markings?

But didnt really oil it that much as i'm not too much a handy man.
Untill i met a veteran who advice me to oil and service it inside out frequently.

This is my third time cleaning it.
But only my first time part it out to clean the inside of it.

Lambo we need clearer pictures of the barrels and action so we can see the stamps and markings. AS Joe said that gun could still possibly be in production so getting a replacement part would not be a problem.
But, you have to help us help you!!

My guess would be that it is a Lu-Mar Scirocco, made in Italy. Very few were ever imported to the United States. It doesn't appear that Lu-Mar is still active, but other gunmakers from the Gardone area may be able to help you.

Lu-Mar ..... Luciano Marocchi

Hello again Lambolambo
Where are you located?
When you gently rub the 0000 steel wool impregnited with oil, please rub with the grain of the metal. You will be amazed how well it works.
When you clean the rust off the barrels you will find writing, please tell us all that it says
Thanks
Mike

Thanks again guys.
Have been busy with works out of town.

Really appreciate all the helps.

I'm from Malaysia . A country with alot of greens ~ located at the other side of the world from US (also a country with lousy english..LOL).
A fresh hunter who just start hunting about months ago.
Hunt two weeks once. I usually do night boars hunting around rubbers estates, palm(palm oil tree) estate and fruits farms. and sometimes old villages areas where boars comes out to party and damage their home grown fruits, vegetables and plants...few even got bitten by these animals!
i usually hunt with the animal control dept. to avoid troubles from other idividuals or stubborn villagers.

Lousy beginner skills i've got.
So far i only shot 4 boars of 80kg average. blush
man, they can run really fast! faster than i can imagine!

Hello
That is what we suppose it is, we are NOT 100% sure this is what you have.
Once you clean the gun and tell us what the markings are, then we should be able to provide internet assistance

I believe Lu-Mar (Luciano Marocchi) and Marocchi are two distinct makers. As near as I can tell, Lu-Mar is no longer in business. Marocchi is still going strong.
